Prerequisites Courses

The International MBA program at the University of Memphis is an academically rigorous program with a very tight timetable.  In other words, you’ll have to hit the ground running.    If you do not have an undergraduate degree in business,  you will need to take the equivalent of the following four courses.  You can be accepted into the program before you complete the prerequisites, but you must have completed the prerequisites with a C or better in each course before you can begin the International MBA program.  If you do have an undergraduate business major, you will only need to take the classes in which your background is deficient.

Essential Foundations (12 credit hours):

ACCT 7000--Fundamentals of Accounting
ECON 7010--Economic Theory
ISDS 7020--Statistical Methods in Business and Economics
FIR 7070--Financial Concepts for Business

Essential Foundations classes can not be used to meet program requirements of any graduate degree in the Fogelman College of Business and Economics. The Graduate Non-Degree classification allows individuals who have not yet decided to pursue a graduate degree to enroll in Essential Foundations courses.
